HOW TO USE THIS SITE

In the first blog I introduced you to the concept of Artechinit.  Originally I was unsure how to set up this site to share the architectural tools and knowledge that I accumulated over my career going back to 1977.  This includes

·      CAD details by CSI section 1 - 16

·      Code tools such as a tool to quickly calculate the allowable area by construction type for multiple occupancy buildings while simultaneously calculating the plumbing fixture requirements, side-yards and exiting requirements using a single excel spreadsheet.

·      A simple graphical index to help navigate the ADA manual in pdf format.  You use the prototypical site plan/floor plan to click on hyperlinks to take you directly to the code section.

·      Sample specification sections

·      Sample project numbered notes

·      Sketchup prototype files with dynamic components

I will elaborate on each of these in future sections but for now you need only to click on

Note that you have to register to get access to upload details.  The intent is to make this a collaborative website with the intent that you upload your own resources to share with the researchers at ARTINIT – Artechinit.  Please give me your feedback if you find this site useful!
